Georges Hall Taxi

Georges Hall is located 24 kilometers south west of the Sydney central business district; it is in the local government area of the City of Bankstown and is part of the South Western Sydney region. Georges Hall was named after Captain George Johnson’s house and farm called Georges Hall. In 1809 it was used as the administrative centre to conduct the census.

Nearby parkland Garrison Point was named after the Garrison of soldiers who were stationed here to ensure Captain George Johnson’s safety as he conducted the census. This area is now a local focus of Australia Day activities. Garrison Point is located near the junction of Prospect Creek and the Georges River and is near an artificial lake Lake Gillawarna that is an important breeding ground for native birds. Its neighbouring suburbs include Lansdowne, Bass Hill, Yagoona, Lansvale, Bankstown Airport, Condell Park and the Georges River.
