Edensor Park is located 38 kilometers west of the Sydney central business district; it is in the local government area of the City of Fairfield and is part of the greater western Suburbs region.
In 1838 Chemist John Brown Bossley (1810-1872) built English style farmhouse on his land near Clear Paddock Creek he named his property Edensor after a village near Chatsworth in Derbyshire England. This established the naming of Edensor Park after Edensor House. Up until the 1970′s Edensor Park and the suburbs surrounding it were rural areas. It was then developed into a residential area; the area once belonged to Prospect County Council before it’s amalgamation into Fairfield City Council.
