Beverly Hills, having a shared postcode of 2209, is famously known as Bevo, a term given by their locals. It is 17 kilometres to the south of Sydney CBD. The suburb being a part of St George area lies within two governmental zones – City of Hurstville and the City of Canterbury. The neighbouring suburb is Narwee.
This residential suburb, originally known as Dumbleton, has homes built of red bricks and tiles. The locals there preferred a more glamorous alternative and therefore the suburb came to be known as Beverly Hills.
