Berkshire Park got its name from Richard Rouse in 1838. The name was chosen by him because he was married in North Hinksey previously being a part of Berkshire. The suburb offers various activities to its residents like nature reserve, correctional facility, waste management center, pet cemetery and racehorse education center.
However, possessing a rural look and feel, the area remains isolated even after being attached to the railway stations at River stone and Windsor. Nearby areas are Richmond, Londonderry, South Windsor, Bligh Park, Windsor Downs, Llandilo, Shanes Park and Marsden Park.
With 2765 as its postcode, Berkshire Park stands 55 kilometres from Sydney CBD being a western Sydney suburb.
