Situated across the local government areas of Hornsby Shire, Beecroft before formally becoming a suburb was known as an orchard country. It became a residential with the coming of Sir Henry Copeland on the land. The area was named after the maiden name of his wives; he married two sisters in succession.
Beecroft stands 22 kilometres from northwest Sydney CBD, being a northern Sydney suburb. The streets underwent an upgradation completely changing the entire outlook.
