Occurring within the local zones of the Sydney City, Beaconsfield with postcode 2015 was named after British PM Benjamin Disraeli Lord Beaconsfield. It happened during the era of Queen Victoria. The area formally became Beaconsfield on 10th June 1977 before originally being a part of Alexandria.
